Scientists have proven that dehydration and hangover are not related.

A study on this topic was conducted by specialists from Utrecht University (Netherlands).

They found that drinking water will not ease the severity of a hangover, according to a scientific paper published on the Science Direct platform.

It has been established that alcohol has a diuretic effect and can lead to dehydration.

But the study results suggest there is no direct link.

This means that if you drink water simultaneously with alcohol or after it, the positive effect will be minimal.

This will not relieve the severity of the hangover syndrome. The next day will be almost as bad as without drinking water, the scientists conclude.

In addition, experts have learned that the feeling of dehydration itself goes away faster than other hangover symptoms.

This occurs without any significant correlation with the amount of water drunk.
