A new scheme for stealing Russians' accounts in a popular messenger is gaining popularity in Russia.
Fraudsters use advanced technologies to deceive users as effectively as possible.
IT expert Alexander Vurasko warned Russians about the new scheme, TASS reports.
Fraudsters are deceiving Russians using group chats on Telegram, which are moderated by a bot.
Usually, two schemes are implemented. In the first case, victims had to rate products on marketplaces or buy the product.
In the second case, we are talking about voting for a person whose account had already been hacked at that time.
All this is implemented in the vastness of the chat, which is controlled by a bot. The scammers themselves do not make any efforts, that is, everything is maximally automated.
The bot creates an activity that convinces of the authenticity of the information received and dispels doubts.
If a person still has doubts and writes about his suspicions in the chat, the bot deletes his messages and excludes the user from the chat.
Links are left in the chat that lead to fraudulent resources, which are used to steal Telegram accounts.
