Domestic scientists have reported a new step towards creating an anti-cancer drug.
Russian researchers have reported that the microRNA-based drug Mirna-3 has successfully passed preclinical trials.
The research was conducted at the Siberian State Medical University, TASS reports.
The institution stated that the drug is innovative and has no analogues in its class.
It is being developed for the treatment of oncological diseases, including very complex cases.
"Mirna-3" is being created not only to fight tumors, but also to prevent micro- and macrometastases.
Research into the advanced drug is being conducted with the support of the Priority 2030 program.
