Vasily Shutov, a lecturer at the KB-1 Information Security Department of the Russian Technical University MIREA, told Gazeta.Ru the reason for the regular cleaning.
He said temporary files could contain personal data that could be accessed by attackers.
Shutov said that reducing the number of unnecessary files will provide protection against hidden threats.
The expert reminded that viruses and malware can disguise themselves among other files.
