In Tatarstan, excavations of the Novobiksinteevsky burial ground have been successfully completed.
It is noted that the age of the burial dates back to the period from 4500 to 4000 BC.
The press service of the Tatarstan Committee for the Protection of Cultural Heritage Sites reported on the successful completion of the excavations on its official website .
According to the publication, unusual discoveries were made during archaeological excavations.
Scientists have discovered at least 9 burials of primitive people dating back to the Stone Age.
According to experts, the age of the burial ground may exceed the Egyptian pyramids by at least one and a half thousand years.
The discovery is distinguished by the fact that the people buried at this site presumably did not yet know how to process metal. During the excavations, the following were found:
- primitive ornaments made from the teeth of various animals and fish bones;
- plates made from polished boar tusks;
- Round pendants made from Ural serpentinite.
It is noted that in addition to the ancient burial, pits filled with offerings, as well as burial grounds from the later Middle Ages, were also discovered at the excavation site.
