A massive outage in the operation of the YouTube video hosting service has been reported in Russia.
According to statistics on the Downradar website, users are reporting problems with the site.
Residents of Moscow faced this problem more often than others, News.ru reports.
Problems with the video hosting service began at approximately 01:00 Moscow time. Within a few hours, more than 200 complaints had already been registered.
At present, 89 complaints about failures have been recorded in the capital, 88 of them have been filed in St. Petersburg.
Earlier, the mobile operator MTS informed its customers about the decrease in the speed of YouTube.
Roskomnadzor also explained that the basis for taking action against YouTube was numerous violations.
The State Duma suggested that Russians switch to domestic platforms.
