The Chinese brand's most expensive smartphone was tested for durability.
An impromptu test for the Huawei Mate XT was conducted by blogger JerryRigEverything, who shared the progress of the test on his YouTube channel.
The folding gadget was presented in early autumn 2024. It was priced at 19,999 yuan or 273 thousand rubles.
But the smartphone failed the durability test. The device broke. The experiment showed that the folding gadget is not suitable for everyone.
Firstly, the phone is easily damaged if its three parts are folded incorrectly. The mistake can be expensive. The device is easily broken if folded the wrong way.
Secondly, it is very easy to leave scratches on a flexible screen with a fingernail. One wrong move, and a gadget worth hundreds of thousands of rubles will become much cheaper.
The blogger also tested the hinges. He saw what would happen if sand got on the phone. After that, they simply stopped working.
Thus, the flagship of the Chinese brand is inferior to smartphones with a classic case in many respects.
