Representatives of the American IT giant commented on the information about the decrease in YouTube availability in the Russian Federation.
Google assured that it had not taken any action to slow down the video service.
The 20% drop in YouTube traffic is not related to Google's actions, RBC writes, citing the company's press service.
For its part, the corporation does not observe any technical problems that cause a slowdown in the video hosting service.
At the same time, the press service noted that they received information about users from Russia who cannot access the service.
“This is not the result of any technical issues or actions on our part,” the company said.
In the Russian Federation, the trend towards a decrease in YouTube traffic continues to be recorded.
Reports of a slowdown in the service began back in the summer.
At the same time, the Russian side stated that the reason for this was the policy of the YouTube administration.
Russian authorities called on the platform not to violate Russian legislation.
Russia also claimed that Google was to blame for the slowdown in the service, as it suspended the supply and maintenance of equipment.
Russian President Vladimir Putin recently pointed this out during a live broadcast.
