The head of the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy at the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Sergei Bogachev, announced that a new powerful flare has occurred on the Sun.
It is emphasized that the astronomical phenomenon was directed towards the Earth.
Bogachev explained: “At the moment, there is no information about any emissions,” as reported by RIA Novosti .
According to the expert, the strength of the said phenomenon is estimated at level X1.1.

The head of the IKI RAS Laboratory added: “Today, it is known for certain that the phenomenon has the character of a high-grade explosion.”
As the researcher noted, this phenomenon has an atypical origin. In particular, it was tracked in the northern hemisphere of the Sun.
As for the center of the explosion, according to Bogachev, it is located exactly on the Sun-Earth line with a slight deviation (only 2 degrees).
Accordingly, as the researcher pointed out, solar emissions towards the Earth are inevitable and demonstrate maximum efficiency.
