Cyber experts have revealed a new trick used by telephone scammers.
Attackers use a special program to intercept calls.
This was reported by the Anti-Malware portal with reference to data from the Zimperium company (USA), which specializes in mobile security.
A program called FakeCall has appeared in the arsenal of scammers.
This malware disguises itself as a banking app. Then, on occasion, the user is notified of the opportunity to call the bank directly from the app.
In this case, the person is shown the real number of the banking organization. The user does not see any trick and calls to clarify some question.
At this point, the scammers intercept the call. The user gets through to the scammers and thinks he is talking to bank employees.
They trick you into providing bank details and stealing money.
In addition, the program can record user actions, take screenshots and steal media files from the device gallery.
