Astronomy researchers have noted that a strange heart-shaped spot has appeared on the Sun.
At the same time, experts reported that such an anomaly already occurred in 2016.
Scientists explained: “But the 2016 spot was much smaller than what is observed now,” as reported by Komsomolskaya Pravda .
It is also noteworthy that the anomaly is shaped like a heart. Its size is slightly larger than the size of the Earth.
An unusual phenomenon
By nature, sunspots are areas where the magnetic field is particularly active.
Because of this effect, the temperature of the region where the spot is located can be lower than the temperature of the entire Sun.
Scientists reported that such areas in themselves do not provoke the appearance of magnetic storms on Earth.
However, the spots indicate that there is increased activity on the Sun, which may have an impact on Earth depending on their proximity to it.
