Words play an important role in people's lives, so they should not be thrown around.
Frequent use of negative words is undesirable.
But when a person says the phrase “I don’t care” - his life can turn in a completely different direction.
Emotional indifference
Periods of emotional indifference happen to everyone. In difficult moments, the body's defenses can turn off the brain, and a person continues to live by inertia.
Emotional reactions control behavior and will, motivate us to achieve goals and feel pride.
According to them, people get angry, happy, sad, envious, jealous. Any feeling contains nuances from which life skills are formed.
Emotional indifference is not just indifference. It does not allow a person to accept the world around him, to exist and communicate calmly.
The desire to do anything disappears. Features that need to be emphasized:
• Detachment and awareness of the meaninglessness of existence
• Depression, physical and moral degradation
• Lethargy, reluctance to perform daily activities
• Inability to remember information and draw conclusions.
Reasons for the emergence of indifference
This condition often occurs as a result of experiencing severe mental or physical pain.
A person who constantly suffers bullying tries not to show their emotions, it is easier to live this way. But over the years the situation only gets more complicated. The most probable reasons include:
• Physical and psychological pressure
• Stress and increased anxiety
• Post-traumatic stress disorder
• Grief and depressive detachment.
Indifference appears in those people who have been mocked by relatives or partners for a long time.
More often than not, victims of violence lack the strength to resist tyranny, which forces them to withdraw into themselves.
They see this as a kind of defense mechanism. In dependent individuals, indifference works as a defense mechanism that reduces the level of tension and allows them to endure further abuse.
Help and treatment
There are no universal cures for emotional indifference. You can turn to relatives, friends, colleagues. In this situation, priests or psychologists often help.
They can identify and explain the reasons for the appearance of such a condition. If the intervention is sensitive and careful, the taste for life will gradually be restored. As a rule, two methods are used.
• The theory of accepting life in all its diversity. People learn to analyze their destructive reactions and replace them with gratitude.
• Consciously replacing negative attitudes with positive ones. You should find something good in everything that happens.
Emotional indifference often appears in people who live in daily stress and work themselves to exhaustion.
In this situation, it is recommended to change your lifestyle.
How to keep your psyche in balance
The development of emotional indifference can be prevented by following simple rules:
• Play sports. Any sports activities will do. When a person moves actively, their vitality increases.
• Stick to a sleep routine. Quality sleep can replenish your energy.
• Control your diet. Replace harmful products with healthy ones.
• Ensure adequate rest. Difficulties often cause stress, so it is important to get adequate rest and gain strength.
• Seek support. Sometimes just talking to friends is enough to figure out how to move on.
The combination of the words "I don't care" uttered in any situation can lead to spiritual destruction.
And if a person has already stepped onto a slippery path, one must try to stop him. Otherwise, it can provoke madness, obsession, and even suicide.
