Many parents know that such an action should be ignored, but is it right to do so, and will it not harm the child’s psyche?

The best option in this case is to do everything possible to notice the approach of hysteria and not let it start.

In most cases, this is preceded by certain harbingers that a caring parent will definitely note.

It is necessary to immediately switch the child's attention to something exciting and interesting. If the attack has already begun, then distraction will not produce results.

In the event that it was not possible to avoid hysteria, you need to try to remain calm, do not explain or prove anything to the child, do not educate, since the baby is currently not able to adequately perceive the situation.

You must not raise your voice, shout, shake, jerk, or spank – the situation will only get worse.

You need to sit next to the child so that your eyes are at the same level and say in a calm voice: “I understand you, you are offended, but you can’t behave like this.”

Next, you should find out the reason for the tantrum together with your child and work out ways to solve the problem.

If, despite all attempts to correct the situation, the hysteria drags on, the only reasonable way out is to ignore what is happening. For a loving parent, this is a serious test.

All thoughts about the child having a nervous breakdown, about people looking at you and possibly judging you, should be cast aside. As soon as the child understands that the manipulation did not work, the hysteria will end.

Frequent hysterics in a child may be associated with gaps in upbringing, family conflicts and psychosomatic deviations. In these cases, it would not be superfluous to consult a specialist.
