Many people in adulthood have problems finding common ground with other people.
And this often happens on the eve of a wedding or when you have to meet the parents of your other half.
Let's figure out what methods will help you avoid conflict situations.
The right first impression
If you are yet to meet your chosen one’s parents for the first time, you should prepare well for it.
Behave naturally, don't overdo it with your appearance and don't forget about your manners. If you think it's better to keep silent, it will be a mistake, because you may be perceived as an uninteresting person.
If the first meeting was a failure, do not give up trying to establish contact with your significant other’s relatives.
Start small, for example, congratulate them on a holiday or start calling them.
Better yet, gather your courage and, when you are alone with your significant other’s parents, admit that the first meeting didn’t go well, but you are ready to make every effort to fix the situation.
