What to do... If you are buried in work up to your ears, write down your working hours in detail, down to the second, and show these records to your boss. Let him see that you are physically unable to handle such a volume.
"I can't work with such untalented people!"
Such a pompous expression will certainly set the whole team against you, because no one likes a show-off. After saying this phrase, you can be sure: you will soon be “set up”!
Do you really think you are much better than those around you? Keep this wisdom to yourself and have no doubt: if so, your merits will be noticed even without bombastic phrases.
"I don't get paid for this"
As soon as you say these sacramental words, you will be immediately taken note of and fired at the first opportunity. This will happen because any employer expects loyalty from their subordinates, first of all.
The boss also expects the employee to understand that at certain times it is necessary to do a little more than what is written in the instructions for the sake of the common cause.
If such situations are repeated too often, do not pompously declare that you are not paid for this. Calmly list your own responsibilities, explain that you are not able to do the whole volume and ask your boss: "What work can I put off for later?"
"I'm wasting my best years on God knows what!"
With these words you are transparently hinting that if you hadn’t ended up in this hole, you would have certainly made a dizzying career (married an oligarch, had five children).
In addition to insulting your colleagues, with these words you also shift responsibility for your life onto those around you. As if you were forced to write a job application under fire.
Are you unhappy with your job, do you think it doesn't allow you to develop your talents? In that case, start looking for another job, and don't whine or pretend to be an unrecognized genius.
"Success at work means nothing to me"
Is that really true? Hardly. After all, work is a part of our life. It is valuable not only because it gives us money to live on, but also because it contributes to our self-realization.
