There are four attachment styles: secure, anxious, avoidant, and fearful.
Attachment style can change depending on how a person views themselves and works through relationship issues.
Look at the different types of attachments and determine which category you think you fall into.
Safe style
One of the secure attachment styles occurs when a person feels secure.
In such relationships, partners have a positive opinion of themselves and others.
It is not surprising that those people who are securely attached are able to form healthy relationships with other people.
Anxious style
An anxious style is seen in people with a negative sense of self. They are afraid of being abandoned and behave emotionally.
Avoidant style
Avoidant attachment is exhibited by people who act emotionally unavailable.
They may appear unfeeling due to fear of getting hurt.
Fearful style
The fearful attachment style is demonstrated by people who experienced difficult experiences in their youth.
Because of this, they may be afraid to fully trust others and have negative feelings about themselves.
Psychologists believe that studying different types of attachments can enrich and strengthen relationships.
