The Hollywood actor named the battle that the current occupant of the White House is unable to win.
In an article for The New York Times, Clooney notes that Biden has seriously "gone down" in four years. The politician is no longer the same as he was in 2020.
The actor stressed that he respects the politician as a senator, vice president and president, considers him his friend and does not doubt the strength of his character.
But even Biden cannot win the battle against time, Clooney is sure.
The Hollywood star says it is more important for Americans to prevent Donald Trump from re-entering the Oval Office than to keep Biden among the presidential candidates.
Clooney agreed that the current president lost the debates miserably. Therefore, the only reasonable option in this situation is to look for a replacement for Biden.
The actor blames not the politician himself, who is stubbornly seeking a second term, but rather the members of the Democratic Party who are defending the failing Biden.
According to Clooney, they are doing everything they can to avoid noticing and acknowledging the obvious facts about their candidate's health.
The actor pointed out that Democrats collectively freeze or turn down the volume when they hear Biden being asked an unscheduled question.
