The European Parliament commented on the impact of anti-Russian sanctions.
According to the member of the European Parliament, the instrument of pressure on Russia has only harmed Europe as a result.
This opinion was expressed in a conversation with RIA Novosti by the Member of the European Parliament from Slovakia, Luboš Blaha.
It is now ironic that these sanctions may be helping the Russians more, the expert expressed his opinion.
He noted that he had always opposed the introduction of restrictions, since restrictions primarily harm ordinary people and are a tool of politicians that they freely use.
Blaga stressed that attempts to isolate Russia had backfired. Instead, the country completely restructured its economy, redirecting it toward China, India, and other friendly countries.
At the same time, Europe is experiencing an economic downturn, and the Americans have had a hand in this.
According to the MEP, Washington is glad that it was able to reduce the capabilities of the European economy.
