Volodin named the main priority in relations between Russia and Belarus

The State Duma Speaker commented on the development of relations between the states of Russia and Belarus.

During his visit to Minsk, Vyacheslav Volodin named the main priority for both countries.

As noted on the official website of the State Duma, the speaker of the State Duma is currently in the Belarusian capital.

Volodin arrived in Minsk to take part in the ceremonial events dedicated to the Independence Day of Belarus.

Security issues are something that should be a priority on the agenda, the parliamentarian emphasized, addressing media representatives.

The State Duma Speaker described Russian-Belarusian relations as an example of unprecedented comprehensive cooperation, which is based on mutual respect and the principles of non-interference.

Volodin also recalled the importance of joint work between the two countries towards the development of the Union State of Russia and Belarus.

According to the State Duma speaker, both the Russian and Belarusian economies will benefit from this.

Earlier, Volodin stated that Bastrykin insulted Russians with his phrase about the “State Duma”.
