Vladimir Putin has approved a new decree that will affect foreigners wishing to obtain temporary residence in Russia.
Citizens of other countries will be given a simplified option for moving to the Russian Federation if they do not share the moral values of their country.
The President signed the corresponding decree on Monday, August 19. The document was posted on the website for the publication of regulatory acts.
The main set of concessions is related to the fact that foreigners will be able to enter the Russian Federation without having to confirm their level of proficiency in the Russian language, knowledge of the history of the Russian Federation and basic laws.
A foreigner can contact the competent Russian authorities if he does not accept the policies of his country.
For example, a citizen speaks out against the imposition of “destructive neoliberal ideological attitudes that contradict traditional Russian spiritual and moral values.”
The Russian authorities will begin accepting relevant applications from foreigners from September 1, 2024.
