The UN General Assembly approved a resolution calling on Israel to leave the Palestinian territories.
Israeli authorities rejected the decision and called it a "parade of stupidity."
The adoption of the UN General Assembly resolution became known on Wednesday, September 18. This was reported on the website of the international organization.
Israel must vacate the territories that belong to Palestine by September 2025.
The UN called on Tel Aviv to comply with the requirements of international law.
The Jewish state must not only leave the occupied lands, but also pay compensation to Palestine and allow the refugees to return to their homes.
The resolution was adopted after a vote of 124 in favor and 14 against, with 43 countries abstaining from voting.
Tel Aviv refused to comply with the decision. Israel declared that the country was entering a "new period of war."
Now Israel intends to fight not only with Hamas, but also with the Lebanese Shiite radical movement Hezbollah.
