The German military command has confirmed the existence of a plan to transfer hundreds of thousands of soldiers to the border with Russia.
"Operational plan Germany" will be implemented in the event of a NATO war with Russia.
This plan describes in detail how 800 thousand military personnel and 200 thousand units of equipment will be transported to the border with the Russian Federation in the shortest possible time.
Newsweek claims that the Bundeswehr has confirmed the existence of such a plan. It is constantly being updated and supplemented.
It is noted that this plan will become the main element of containment in the event of a worsening situation.
Germany has taken on the role of the main planner. In the event of an escalation of the situation or the outbreak of war, not only German soldiers but also military personnel from other NATO countries will act according to the FRG plan.
“The Operational Plan Germany continues to be continuously developed and updated under the jurisdiction of the command of the country’s armed forces [Germany],” the publication reports.
US hypersonic missiles
Last week, it became known that the Pentagon plans to begin deploying hypersonic missiles in Germany by 2026.
Washington claims that Berlin will receive weapons that have no equal in the European Union.
Germany is expected to start producing hypersonic missiles itself in the future. France, Italy and Poland have promised to help it in this.
