For the first time in 36 years, the American newspaper Washington Post announced that it would not support candidates in the presidential elections.

The decision comes just 11 days before elections that experts say are too unpredictable.

For the first time in more than three decades, The Washington Post has refused to endorse any candidate in the US presidential election.

The endorsement of Kamala Harris was prepared by the editorial page staff but has not yet been published,

The decision not to publish the candidate's endorsement was made by the Washington Post owner, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.

According to communications director Katie Baird, it was entirely the Post's decision not to endorse candidates.

The Washington Post is thus breaking with its long-standing tradition against the backdrop of changing American politics and media.
