Deputy Oleg Matveychev told when Russia will fully fulfill its mission to eliminate the threat from Western countries.
The parliamentarian is confident that Vladimir Putin will implement this task in the coming years.
The politician expressed this opinion in an interview with the NEWS.ru portal. Matveychev emphasized that one of the missions of the Russian president is the complete elimination of the Western threat.
According to the deputy, this will happen in the next 5-10 years. Matveychev pointed out that the most difficult part of the work is being carried out at this stage.
The State Duma member noted that the decisions previously made by Putin demonstrated the strategic nature of the president’s thinking.
He cited anti-Russian sanctions as an example. According to the West's plan, the package of restrictions was supposed to "tear to shreds" the Russian economy, but this did not happen.
Matveychev emphasized that the country's economy has not only demonstrated "phenomenal stability," but also continues to develop.
Projects that the authorities launched 15-20 years ago played a significant role in this. This also applies to initiatives related to security.
