The State Duma has passed a law banning childfree propaganda on the Internet, in the media, in cinema and in advertising.

The document prohibits the dissemination of information that promotes the refusal to have children.

The bill was proposed by a group of deputies to stop the influence of destructive content on decisions about having children, RIA Novosti reports.

According to it, website and social network owners are required to identify information that promotes childfree people.

Dissemination of this information will result in the resource being included in the Roskomnadzor register of prohibited resources.

In addition, the law prohibits the distribution of films containing elements of propaganda for the abandonment of children.

According to the document, government bodies must protect children from such information, and the media must limit the promotion of the childfree idea.

The bill on banning propaganda of child refusal was adopted in the State Duma at a plenary session in the second and third readings.
