Sergey Lavrov made a statement about the Russian nuclear doctrine.

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that in light of recent events, the doctrine is being clarified by the country's supreme leadership.

Russia has its own doctrine, which defines the conditions and procedure for the use of weapons of mass destruction, TASS reports.

Lavrov stated that the provisions of the document are currently being "clarified." It is possible that some changes will be made to the doctrine.

Statements have been made around the world on the increased risk of the use of nuclear weapons.

The likelihood of weapons of mass destruction being used has not been so high since the end of the Cold War, the UN stressed.

At the same time, many associate these threats with Russia. At the same time, only one country in the world has used nuclear weapons in a military conflict.
