An incident involving the Swedish embassy in the capital has become known.

The Swedish diplomatic mission was pelted with paint on November 28.

Commenting on this incident in a conversation with the RIA Novosti agency, the Russian Foreign Ministry emphasized that Russia will respond appropriately.

As the Russian Foreign Ministry emphasized, the incident occurred on November 28. The perpetrators who threw bottles of paint at the facade of the Swedish embassy were quickly detained at the scene of the crime.

In connection with the incident, the Swedish diplomatic mission sent a note to the department, in which it demanded notification of the progress of the investigation into the incident.

It is noted that the Russian Foreign Ministry received the note on December 2. The department recalled that the Russian side constantly demonstrates its commitment to the Vienna Convention, which regulates the procedure for diplomatic relations.

In particular, law enforcement agencies of the Russian Federation act in accordance with the law, promptly suppress hooligan actions of criminals when it comes to foreign diplomatic missions, and bring the perpetrators to justice.
