Artemy Lebedev did not ignore the fact that he was included in Latvia’s sanctions list.
The designer reacted to the incident with irony, calling it “the power of the Russian language.”
Lebedev voiced his opinion on his Telegram channel, commenting on the earlier statement made by the Latvian Foreign Ministry.
The designer called the day when he was declared an undesirable person in Latvia interesting.
Here it is, the power of the Russian language: it can even reach Kyiv, Lebedev stated ironically in the publication.
Sanctions list
Latvian Foreign Minister Baiba Braže announced new restrictive measures on the X social network.
According to the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Latvia has agreed to approve a list of 150 undesirable persons who are banned from entering the country for an indefinite period.
It is specified that the sanctions affected designer Artemy Lebedev, comedian Valery Ponomarenko and many other Russian citizens, including cultural figures.
