The Investigative Committee of Armenia has announced a “Russian trace” in the preparation of the seizure of power in the country

The Armenian Investigative Committee (IC) has announced details of the case of the seizure of power in the republic.

A “Russian trace” has been declared in the failed coup d’état.

Investigators claim that the group that seized power allegedly underwent training in Rostov-on-Don,RIA Novosti reports.

The Investigative Committee stated that the detainees recruited citizens of Armenia and former residents of Nagorno-Karabakh under the pretext of undergoing training in the territory of the Russian Federation.

They were offered to go to Russia for three months to get acquainted with advanced heavy weapons and learn how to use them.

Investigators claim that the organizers of this event promised those who wanted to participate a payment of 220 thousand rubles.

The Investigative Committee emphasized that after the training sessions, these people were supposed to return to Armenia and take part in the overthrow of the government.
