Senator Vladimir Dzhabarov explained the reason why Jens Stoltenberg suddenly started talking about restoring dialogue with Russia.

The First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs believes that the West has begun to understand something.

In a conversation with Lenta.ru , the parliamentarian pointed out that the NATO Secretary General had previously spoken in a belligerent tone about the Russian Federation: supposedly, one must speak with Moscow only in the “language of force.”

But Stoltenberg recently spoke in favor of reviving dialogue with Russia in order to find a peaceful solution to the conflict.

Dzhabarov believes that this is a sign that the West has realized how everything will end, and is now “feeling out ways to conduct negotiations.”

The senator did not rule out that Moscow could receive an official proposal from the West to restore dialogue on the settlement.

But the Federation Council member stressed that, most likely, the Kremlin is unlikely to stop the special operation because of this.

The NATO Secretary General not only thought about dialogue with Russia, but also acknowledged that there are now far fewer opportunities for diplomacy than in 2014.
