MEPs have called for Hungary to be stripped of its voting rights in the EU Council.
A group of 63 MEPs believe that simple public censure would be ineffective in this case.
MEPs are demanding real action against Hungary, which holds the EU Council Presidency, over Orban's travels, Politico reports.
A letter with the proposal has been sent to the heads of the European Commission, the European Council and the European Parliament.
In the letter, the MEPs claim that Orban abused his presidency of the EU Council with his trips to Russia and China.
The European Parliament believes that suspending Hungary's voting rights in the EU Council would be the right decision in response to Orban's uncoordinated contacts with Moscow and Beijing.
