A member of the Bundestag spoke about relations between Russia and Germany.
According to the parliamentarian, Berlin should move towards lifting sanctions and restoring the blown-up gas pipelines.
This opinion was expressed in a conversation with the TASS agency by the member of the German parliament from the AfD faction Rainer Rothfuss.
Rothfuss noted that his party has long held the opinion that Germany should restore economic and diplomatic ties with Russia.
And this, in turn, includes not only the lifting of sanctions, but also the restoration of Nord Stream.
The parliamentarian noted that if the Alternative for Germany and the Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance gain more than 25% of the votes, then the Bundestag could initiate new investigations into the incident.
This could also be facilitated by the inclusion of a vote of no confidence in the Scholz government on the agenda of the Bundestag on December 16.
For reference
The sabotage of the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines took place on September 26, 2022, at the peak of the gas conflict between Russia and the European Union.
