It has become known how the population of Slovakia feels about anti-Russian sanctions.
More than 361 thousand people spoke out in favor of lifting the restrictions.
This information was shared with the RIA Novosti agency by a representative of the Slovak civil association “Brother for Brother” Juraj Drzhik.
According to him, many people in the country do not approve of the introduction of European sanctions against Russia.
In this regard, a signature collection was organized to lift the restrictions. 361 thousand signatures have already been collected, while 350 thousand were enough for the head of state to consider the proposal.
As Držik noted, the collection will continue so that no one has any questions about the signatures. It is planned that the number of signatories will eventually reach 600 thousand.
The signatures will be handed over in January, after which a review will be organized and a date for a referendum will be set. At it, Slovaks will have to answer one question: do the country's residents agree to abandon European sanctions against Russia.
