The leader of the LDPR spoke about the elections held in Moldova.
Leonid Slutsky described the political event as a disgrace and a profanation.
The politician expressed this opinion during a meeting with journalists, RIA Novosti reports.
As Slutsky noted, Maia Sandu is an unpopular leader who was simply pushed through to a second term by pro-Western sponsors.
In his opinion, the decisive votes were given to the current president abroad, while within her own country Sandu was effectively defeated.
Slutsky emphasized that during the presidential elections, in essence, the same situation that arose during the referendum on the country’s European integration was repeated.
At the same time, the voting itself took place under conditions of total censorship, and Moldovans living in Russia and Transnistria were limited in their voting rights.
Against the backdrop of negativity towards the results of the parliamentary elections in Georgia, the congratulations that Sandu is receiving are a triumph of double standards, the politician summed up.
