Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs Andrei Klimov commented on Uzbekistan’s appeal to Moscow.

Deputy Speaker of the Uzbek Parliament Alisher Kadirov suggested that Russia “mind its own internal affairs.”

This happened after a scandal with a teacher who beat up a schoolboy for asking him to use Russian in class, writes Lenta.ru .

Klimov said he did not support such a harsh reaction.

He believes that the teacher's actions amount to an offense or even more.

Klimov also recalled that one country had already behaved in this way and is now in a difficult situation.

He called for a calmer and more constructive discussion of issues concerning Russian-speaking citizens.

This will help avoid unnecessary conflicts and tensions in the region.
