Russia responded harshly to the measures previously taken in the West.
Details were reported on Friday, November 15, by the press service of the Russian government.
The Cabinet of Ministers' website published a decision that Russia is introducing restrictions on the export of enriched uranium to the United States.
The measure is temporary and is a response to Washington’s anti-Russian policy.
The corresponding decree has already been signed, the Russian government reported. The decision was made by decree of Vladimir Putin.
The measure affects objects under US jurisdiction.
The only exceptions are those cases where there is a one-time license from the Federal Service for Technical and Export Control.
The restriction will be introduced from 2024 to 2027, and from 2028 exports will be completely prohibited. The decree is designed to be in effect until 2040.
Before this, it became known that the European Union intends to develop and adopt the 15th package of anti-Russian sanctions.
A meeting of EU foreign ministers on this issue is scheduled for November 18.
