The Russian President spoke about the new use of the Oreshnik system.
Vladimir Putin stated that Moscow always responds in kind.
On Thursday, December 26, the Russian leader spoke to journalists about the advanced Oreshnik system, RIA Novosti reports.
The politician noted that Russia does not have many of these systems today.
“But we have them. And not just one system,” Putin emphasized.
The head of state pointed out that the Oreshnik is a powerful weapon. It is not used without a special reason.
Putin said the system was being developed to perform “specific tasks.”
The President added that serial production of Oreshnik is currently underway.
The Defense Ministry has a plan and it will be carried out: “The required and necessary quantity will be produced.”
Putin also recalled plans to deploy Oreshnik in Belarus.
He confirmed that the system will appear on the territory of the neighboring republic.
The President stressed that Moscow is trying to act systematically and respond to aggression in kind.
The politician did not rule out that in the future, “Oreshnik” will be used again.
This will be done if the need arises, the head of state summed up.
