Russian President Vladimir Putin shared his opinion that his American counterpart Joe Biden was removed from the presidential race.
As Vladimir Vladimirovich emphasized, Biden was the favorite in the electoral process before his exit.
The Russian leader explained: “The current US president was Russia’s favorite, I told you so,” as reported by Duma TV .
The Russian President also added that Biden, when leaving the race, recommended that all his supporters support the new Democratic candidate, US Vice President Kamala Harris.
Putin's reaction
Vladimir Vladimirovich, among other things, emphasized that in connection with this circumstance, Russia will support Harris.
Putin also added that formally Moscow does not have the right to determine the US's favorites, since ultimately the choice is assigned to the American population.
The head of state indicated: “We will respect the will of the Americans.”
The Russian President made this information public at the plenary session of the Eastern Economic Forum 2024.
