Warsaw's reaction to Berlin's introduction of border controls has become known.
Poland is preparing a corresponding response, which will be presented soon.
This was announced by the head of the Republic’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Radoslaw Sikorski, his words are quoted by RIA Novosti .
Let us recall that earlier Germany unilaterally decided to introduce temporary measures on all land borders of the country.
As specified in Germany, such measures were dictated by the desire to protect the country from the influx of illegal migrants and to increase security in the republic.
At the same time, Poland believes that the area affected by Berlin's decision is not its sole property. Therefore, decisions on introducing additional measures must be taken collectively.
Sikorski stressed that Germany's decision calls into question the entire Schengen zone's purpose. That is why the country does not agree with it and intends to introduce countermeasures, which will be announced soon.
