Dmitry Peskov spoke about the “personal competition” between Joe Biden and Vladimir Putin.
The Kremlin spokesman also revealed how the Russian president reacts to Biden's offensive remarks about him.
Putin's press secretary spoke about this in an interview with Pavel Zarubin. A fragment of the conversation was published on the journalist's Telegram channel.
Zarubin noted that Biden often uses harsh statements against Putin. The US President has previously called his colleague a "murderer," "war criminal," "dictator," and "butcher."
The journalist admitted that there is some kind of “personal competition” between politicians.
Peskov stressed that Putin does not understand how heads of state, especially the leader of the United States, can use such words in their speeches addressed to their colleagues.
The Kremlin spokesman pointed out that Putin always chooses his words carefully and does not allow himself to be rude or impolite.
Peskov does not know how Biden assesses this situation, but Putin is definitely not participating in a “personal competition” with him, the presidential press secretary concluded.
