Pashinyan refused to participate in the CIS summit

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made an important statement.

He will not participate in the CIS summit due to a positive test for coronavirus.

Pashinyan explained that he took the test on Monday and spent several days in self-isolation, the RIA Novosti article emphasizes.

Due to illness, he will not be able to participate in the informal CIS summit in St. Petersburg.

Pashinyan announced his absence from the event on his social media page.

He spent two days in isolation. On Wednesday, he apparently tested negative and reported it.

He also promised to make a decision by the end of the day on participating in the meeting of the Supreme Economic Council of the EAEU, scheduled for Thursday.

The informal CIS summit on December 25 will bring together participants to discuss current international issues.

The Commonwealth will discuss issues of cooperation and preparations for the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory in 2025.
