Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas plans to discuss the Palestinian settlement process with Vladimir Putin.
He intends to discuss this with the Russian president during his visit to the Russian Federation.
According to him, as RIA Novosti writes, Moscow and Ramallah are in constant contact on all issues related to the crisis in the Middle East.
Mahmoud Abbas explained that he would exchange views with Putin, including consultations on the peace process.
The Palestinian President also added that Moscow and Ramallah have made progress in strengthening bilateral relations.
The heads of state will discuss this in more detail during Abbas's upcoming visit to Russia.
The Kremlin also confirmed that preparations for the Palestinian President’s visit are in the final stages.
According to diplomatic sources, the meeting between Putin and Abbas in Moscow could take place on August 12-14.
