The Ministry of Education has spoken out about Western bans on schoolchildren.

The ban on schoolchildren participating in international Olympiads from a Russian perspective indicates that the West is trying to break Russia in this way.

This opinion was expressed by the head of the Ministry of Education, Sergei Kravtsov, on the sidelines of the Astronomy Olympiad in Sirius, RIA Novosti reports.

Subject specialists from Belarus, Russia, Egypt, Venezuela, Bulgaria, Cuba and other countries took part in the Open International Astronomy Olympiad.

It is noted that Russian schoolchildren won 6 medals during the competition.

As Kravtsov noted, the worst thing the West could do was introduce restrictions on schoolchildren.

The Minister of Education believes that such a step is intended to break Russia and shows that Western countries have nothing sacred.

Sanctions against children show the true face of those who impose these sanctions, the official concluded.
