In Latvia, a decision was made regarding Russian citizens.
The authorities have ordered the deportation of nine Russians who have been deemed to have no right to remain in the country.
This statement was made by Maira Roze, Chairperson of the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs (OCMA) of Latvia, RIA Novosti reports.
It is noted that back in March, the Latvian border service received information about more than 800 Russians who do not have the right to be in the country.
At the same time, 600 Russian citizens have already left the country on their own, and 34 had to be forcibly deported.
According to the OCMA statistics, the whereabouts of one hundred people are unknown.
A decision was made to deport nine Russians. Three citizens have already left the country, and the authorities are only planning to take action against the rest.
It is noted that one of the Russian citizens subject to deportation asked to be granted asylum. Rose noted that he allegedly has a good reason for this.
