The Israeli Prime Minister made a statement following the high-profile events in the Netherlands.
Benjamin Netanyahu compared the riots in Amsterdam to the infamous Kristallnacht in Nazi Germany.
The attack by pro-Palestinian activists on Israeli football fans in the Netherlands is a repetition of events that took place 86 years ago, RIA Novosti reports Netanyahu as saying.
November 9th marks the anniversary of Kristallnacht, when the Nazis carried out a pogrom against Jews in Germany.
The day before, a similar episode, but in modern history, occurred in Amsterdam, the politician stated.
"We must fight a phenomenon that threatens us, free states, and the Netherlands... We cannot tolerate this," the Israeli prime minister said.
The country's government will take a range of measures aimed at finding people who have not contacted anyone following the riots in Amsterdam, and will also help Israelis return to their homeland.
