Natalia Poklonskaya responded to Archpriest Andrei Tkachev, who criticized the equality of rights and responsibilities between men and women.
The adviser to the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation and former State Duma deputy commented on his words on her Telegram channel.
Tkachev pointed out in his sermon that women in many periods of history were "homebodies". But at some point they began to strive for equality and "for some reason wanted to climb into power".
Poklonskaya did not agree with the archpriest's reasoning. She called his words hypocrisy. According to Poklonskaya, such words sound offensive to women in the 21st century.
The ex-deputy answered Tkachev's question: "Why do women get into power?" According to Poklonskaya, it is about establishing justice.
"And there was no need for mothers to carry concrete and kill themselves doing men's work in order to feed their families. And not to "shift papers" losing the happiness of family life," Poklonskaya shared her opinion.
The archpriest's position did not find a response from State Duma deputy Nina Ostanina either. She believes that Tkachev's reasoning refers to the times before 1917.
