Dmitry Peskov spoke about the disagreements between Russia and Turkey over the issue of Crimea's ownership.

Vladimir Putin's press secretary confirmed that Moscow and Ankara have different positions in this case.

A Kremlin spokesman said that Russia is trying to convey its point of view to Turkey, TASS reports.

To date, attempts have been unsuccessful. Ankara takes the opposite position.

But Peskov stressed that Moscow will continue to make targeted attempts to further explain Russia’s point of view to its Turkish partners.

Currently, this issue is one of those topics on which the two countries have disagreements, Putin’s press secretary summed up.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan recently stated that he does not consider Crimea to be part of Russia.

In the State Duma, the leader of the republic was called a “flexible” and maneuverable politician who always says what is beneficial to him.

Despite its position on Crimea, Ankara continues to cooperate with Russia and has declared its desire to join BRICS.
