In response to the announcement that the Russian diplomatic mission employee was persona non grata, Moscow did the same.
The decision taken by the Russian Foreign Ministry is reported on the department’s official website .
As noted in the publication, the Moldovan authorities announced their decision on August 1. The person in question is the assistant military attaché of the Russian embassy.
The reaction followed on August 6, when the Chargé d'Affaires of the Republic of Moldova in the Russian Federation, A. Chetraru, was summoned to the department.
A strong protest was expressed to the representative of the Moldovan diplomatic mission in connection with the unmotivated declaration of persona non grata of an employee of the Russian diplomatic mission.
The Russian Foreign Ministry emphasized that Moldova continues to demonstrate an unfriendly attitude towards Russia.
In connection with this, the Russian Foreign Ministry decided to do the same and announced mirror measures and the expulsion of an employee of the Moldovan diplomatic mission from the country.
