The Polish Prime Minister has cancelled his trip to Germany due to worsening relations between the countries.
The disagreements arose due to the situation with the terrorist attack on Nord Stream.
This was reported by the Euroactiv portal, which focuses on EU policy.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk was due to travel to Potsdam to receive the M100 Media Award.
But the politician cancelled the trip at the last minute. Tusk cited being busy with domestic affairs and sent the Minister of Justice in his place.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz was supposed to give a speech at the event in Potsdam. It later turned out that he, too, had refused to participate in the award ceremony.
Scholz's office explained this by "scheduling conflicts." Tusk cited "important national commitments."
Euroactiv notes that the real reason has not yet been named. But it is obvious that relations between Poland and Germany have become cooler, the publication emphasizes.
Germany is investigating the terrorist attacks on the SP that took place in September 2022.
New details indicate that Germany had previously sent a request to Poland demanding the arrest of a Ukrainian citizen suspected of committing sabotage.
Warsaw refused to do so. It later became known that the suspect had left Polish territory.
