The Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the EU has spoken out about the anti-Russian sanctions that are constantly being introduced in Europe.

With their actions, the Brussels authorities want to strengthen anti-Russian sentiments in Europe and not allow anyone to deviate from the path imposed by the EU.

RIA Novosti received this comment from the Permanent Mission of Russia to the European Union. The statement was made in connection with the adoption of new sanctions.

Recall that on Tuesday, the new anti-Russian sanctions regime was finally approved. Within its framework, the EU can now prosecute individuals and companies that it deems "undermining EU values."

The Permanent Mission expressed the opinion that the essence lies not even in the fact of introducing restrictions, but in the fact that the European Union wants to show the whole world that the sanctions pressure is serious and for a long time.

When things are bad at home, look for someone to blame elsewhere, the Russian Permanent Mission said, expressing confidence that the EU's actions are caused by attempts to shift the blame for their own problems onto Russia.
